This is by far the best stocked occult supply store in the bay. It's to the point and not trying to have an Instagram or WitchTok esthetic and focuses on having a good stock of everything a practitioner would need. Be prepared with a mask as they are required in the store (they also have some provided at the front). My only critique is while they do have mail order I wish there was a way to order online directly off the website but overall this is an amazing place. My partner and I have been coming here for several years and are never disappointed.

So knowledgeable, patient and nice here. I’ve always left this shop feeling good inside. Great selection of herbs, candles and books, and reasonably priced too. The tarot readings I’ve had here have been very helpful in thinking about solutions to conflicts. This is my favorite spiritual shop in the East Bay for sure.

The staff and the owner were really nice and helped me get exactly what I needed. I came to get some special candles and they helped me decide on what would be best for me. They took the time to wrap them up so they would not break and I really appreciated that. I think they're a great little shop

Ancient Ways has a little of everything, whether you need religious statuary, candles, sage, jewelry or need supplies for Hoodoo, Brujeria, Santeria or anything else. Large selection of candles, Florida Water, soaps, books, tarot cards, amulets, incense, herbs .....anything you can think of and things you never knew you needed! This is my go to place in Oakland! The staff is incredible. Very helpful, knowledgeable and they always have what I need. You can pick up your own divination supplies or get an on point reading right there in the store while you're shopping. I highly recommend Ancient Ways, I've been shopping there for years and have brought many people to the shop with me and they are all repeat customers also.

This shop has one of the best oil selection and herb selection. In fact, the herb selection is huge. They also have salts. Service is great with a certified priest and priestess each to assist.

Amazing, amazing metaphysical/occult shop that also carries some radical political titles, many obscure herbs, plethora of tarot decks, rare and hard to find book titles, featuring local artists and makers, ritual gear, candles, etc. Absolute must-visit for anyone into the esoteric path visiting the area.

One of the best of this type of store I have ever found anywhere in the country. Don, the proprietor, is a fun and sincere person and the shop has everything a witch/pagan could ask for. Well worth the visit. Thank you Ancient Ways!
